Join us for Gaming U, a fun and interactive class where strategy, critical thinking, and teamwork come to life! In this engaging program, students will learn how to play a variety of popular games such as chess, Uno, and Monopoly. Each session includes guided instruction on rules, game strategy, and fair play, followed by hands-on gameplay where students can apply what they’ve learned. Whether you're new to these games or looking to sharpen your skills, Gaming U offers a supportive environment to learn, connect, and have fun with friends

This Community class builds understanding of healthy food choices and how nutrition supports the body and mind, teaches the importance of exercise and movement for physical health, emotional regulation, and confidence, encourages positive self-care routines, including hygiene, rest, stress management, and emotional awareness and strengthens daily living skills such as planning, budgeting, decision-making, and independence. It includes simple, healthy recipe preparation, promoting kitchen safety, teamwork, and independence and supports social skills development, including communication, cooperation, and turn-taking.

As a Healthcare provider, yoga instructor and certified trauma informed practioner, Dr. Heidi MacAlpine ensures that our yoga classes adapt to support the whole person, taking into consideration sensory, muscular and respiratory systems. This class supports participants different learning styles and abilities and adapts and modifies instruction through props, movements and the human body to provide the necessary input to support participation. We offer small group, partner and individual lessons. Please bring your own mat.

Our Dance Fusion class offers a small group setting where you will learn the fundamentals of dance, in a variety of genres. Come join us to learn some party dances too!

Join us for our Community Explorations community class at LI Strive for everyone 14+. This class offers monthly opportunities to learn about and from a variety of local community environments. Our class begins and ends at LI Strive with lessons, discussions and activities specific to the days offsite classroom. Our curriculum includes learning about environmental awareness, how to follow a scavenge hunt, guided tours, learn from nature, animals and their habitats and engaging projects and lessons.
